Pattie Lovett-Reid

Pattie Lovett-Reid is a respected Canadian financial guru. In 2022, she became the Chief Financial Commentator for HomeEquity Bank, where she draws on her expertise to help older Canadians with financial and retirement advice. As the former Chief Financial Commentator for CTV News, she has coached viewers on how to save money, stretch their incomes, and get the best bang for their bucks. Pattie provided weekday financial updates for CTV News Channel, CP24, and CTV Morning Live broadcasts, and she’s contributed her business analyses to stories on CTV National News. She hosted the Pattie Lovett-Reid Show on CTV News Channel and CTV, served as a weekly commentator on Canada AM, and acted as Senior Financial Commentator with CTV News in 2012. Prior to working at CTV, Pattie served as Senior Vice-President at TD Waterhouse Canada Inc.
Pattie is currently a guest commentator on BNN Bloomberg, CTV’s Your Morning, The Social, Newstalk 1010, and other Bell Media programs. She is the co-author of several national bestselling books and has earned an honorary degree in Applied Studies from Humber College. Pattie has also received the Donald J. Johnston Lifetime Achievement Award from FP Canada™ and the Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 10™ Award.
Today, Pattie splits her time between Toronto and Muskoka Canada with her husband Jim Reid, their children and growing group of grandchildren.
Ted Tsiakopoulos is a professional economist and sought after speaker with many years of experience analyzing real estate and financial markets. In 2019, he joined CMHC’s housing markets policy team helping lead a modelling project geared to addressing structural issues in the Canadian housing market. Over his professional career, his commentary and research has been widely quoted across major media outlets such as Money Magazine, BNN, CTV and CBC. Under his guidance, a team of CMHC real estate economists ranked first in forecast accuracy in 2015 against a consensus group of external forecasters. In June 2020, he co-authored a book titled Property Trendsetters – highlighting how GenZ needs to prepare for the economic and real estate disruptions that are coming. The book hit best seller in a number of categories in the US and Canada.
Prior to joining CMHC, Ted worked as an investment advisor on Bay Street. He devotes significant personal time to financial literacy research and education having served as chair for a number of financial literacy committees and as a consultant to Junior Achievement of Canada. He is also a part-time lecturer of housing economics at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson)
Ted is currently on the Board of Directors for the Toronto Association for Business and Economics and a member of the Canadian Association of Business & Economics.
Tim Hudak is the CEO of the Ontario Real Estate Association, Canada’s largest provincial real estate industry association representing 92,000 REALTORS®. He joined OREA in 2016.
With a passion and voice for championing the dream of home ownership, Tim came to OREA following a distinguished 21-year career in politics, including five years as Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario.
In his role, Tim has focused on transforming OREA into Ontario’s most cutting-edge professional association at the forefront of advocacy on behalf of REALTORS® and consumers, and providing world-class conferences, standard forms, leadership training and professional guidance to its Members.
Under his leadership, the Association has attracted some of the most influential people to speak at their conferences, had historic wins in advocacy, including the passage of the Trust in Real Estate Services Act (TRESA) in 2020, and demonstrated strong thought leadership in the real estate industry.

Tim is married to Deb Hutton, and together they have two daughters, Miller and Maitland. In his spare time, Tim enjoys trails less taken on his mountain bike or hiking shoes as well as grilling outdoors.

Claudio Polito is the managing Partner of Cross-Town Appraisal Limited an independent property appraisal and realty consulting company, an independent property appraisal and realty consulting company that offers a wide range of property valuation services across the GTHA and surrounding communities.
Cross-Town have been long supporters of CMBA and Claudio is a former Board member for IMBA having served between 2011 and 2015. During his time on the IMBA Board, Claudio was chair of Events Committee including the Conference and Gala as well as WinterFest.
He has been involved in the real estate industry since 1987, joined the Appraisal Institute of Canada in 1991 and in 2006 earned his AACI designation. He served as Co-Chair of York Chapter of the AIC ON, Provincial Director for the Ontario Association and in 2019-2020 served as President of the Ontario Association of the Appraisal Institute of Canada. Claudio was elected to the National Board of the Appraisal Institute where he served as Chair of the Standards Sub-Committee and continued to serve as a member of the Shaping our Future Task Force and the Advocacy Committee. In 2022 Claudio was elected as National President Elect. An advocate for members and the appraisal profession, Claudio has been on multiple podcasts and has spoken at multiple industry events.
