Grant Armstrong
Head of Mortgage Originations for Community Trust Company
Grant is Head of Mortgage Originations at Community Trust Company (CTC), a subsidiary of Questrade Financial Group (QFG). A 20-year veteran of the Canadian mortgage industry, he has previously held progressive positions with Scotiabank, GE Mortgage Insurance, MCAP, Xceed, National Bank, RBC, and CIBC. Grant’s passion for delivering excellence to both clients and partners has been evident throughout his career. Prior to joining CTC, Grant led the Mortgage Options Group at CIBC where he achieved record sales results through targeted training and development initiatives. He also previously spent time with RBC where he specialized in finding solutions for non-traditional lending clients, partnering with some of Canada’s top alternative lenders.
Since joining CTC in 2020, Grant has played an integral role in leading the company’s expansion across Canada, while honoring a strong commitment to innovation and client experience. With a focus on technology, innovation, and organizational development, he supports brokers across the alternative lending space. When Grant is not working, he can be found spending time with his family in Orangeville, Ontario. He holds a Commission with the Canadian Forces and a current rank of Captain supporting the Canadian Cadet Program. Notably, in 2015, Grant was also recognized and awarded with the prestigious Canadian Forces Decoration.
